Fall Open Studios Weekend

Fall Open Studios Weekend

It is that wonderful time of year when the autumn leaves shift in hue and 30 PMA Studio Artists open up their doors to the public. Please join us for a lively weekend of art talk and demonstrations, drinks and delectables. There will be art energy spilling out and about... onto the walls, out the doors and into the halls, down the stairwells and into the galleries, through the galleries and out into the natural air... and then blown back in again with each freshly arriving visitor. Fun times!

Four new artists have joined our group, energizing the complex with new ideas and mediums.

Work by new studio artist, Krytzia Dabdoub

Krytzia Dabdoub, Studio 7, works with poured, splashed, splattered and smeared materials to create energized works on canvas. You will remember that PMA presented an exhibition of her large works the Museum’s Decker B Gallery earlier this year. It has been exciting to view her at work these past weeks since she moved into her large downstairs studio.

Print work by Rozanne Di Silvestro

Rozanne Hermelyn Di Silvestro, Studio 16, is a printmaker who brings a dynamic style and energy to PMA. You will find her work space on the left as you walk through the Museum galleries and into the lower studio hall.

Colleen Mirassou, Studio 30, is our newest member, just arriving last month. She puts together soft, hard, natural, man-made, found, lost, neglected, treasured, plus more, to create figurative forms of unique qualities.

Margaret Realica, Studio 14, has a way of imbuing a sense of world consciousness into her delicately precise expression of strength and resilience that is her sculptural and photographic work. Looking closely at her work is a must.

Throughout the weekend, we will be having a variety of art demonstrations going on. Below is a list of scheduled events. Meanwhile, feel free to ask any artist about their work methods, and who knows, you might get a private impromptu demonstration on the spot.
